About Design For Seasons

Design For Seasons is a Building Design practice specializing in passive solar and environmentally sustainable design. The main areas of design include residential, office and community buildings.

Gary Palma is the principle designer and manager. He is a qualified building designer with over 25 years experience in the architectural and building industry. Qualifications include a Diploma in Architectural Design and Drafting and Diploma of Builder´s Registration. Gary is also an accredited builder.

Various consultants are engaged during the design and documentation process. Depending on the complexity of the project and detail required these consultants can include:

Geotechnical Engineer ­ Soil assessment and recommendations.

Building estimator ­ Building cost estimating.

Structural and Civil Engineer ­ Design and certification of the structural component of the building.

Mechanical Engineer ­ Building mechanical services / renewable and sustainable energy systems / Building energy management and auditing.

Hydraulic Consultant ­ Plumbing supply and waste design / storm water design.

Electrical Consultant ­ Electrical services design.
